Regional Sales Manager – Chemical Industry – Midwest
This situation will allow an individual with process chemical sales and service experience to focus on the selling of chemical. This position will focus on maintaining and growing the sales relationship.
|Global chemical supplier is looking to fill a strategic Regional Account Manager position in the Midwest (preference for Chicago, IL but other major metro cities in MN, IL, WI, MO or ND. This is an excellent opportunity to join a very successful organization focused on selling chemical raw materials and additives. The key markets for this territory are Regional Industrial Water Treatment companies. This is an exciting, fast-paced, and very challenging position. It’s a solid income and career growth opportunity as well. Overnight travel will vary upon base location but could be up to 60%. This is a home office based opportunity.|
|Responsibilities: Successfully manage a territory covering IL, WI, MO, MI and ND. The successful candidate will be selling a chemicals and additives to Regional Industrial Water Treatment companies. The business requires selling on both a commercial level and technical level to chemists, formulators, and purchasing personnel. Manage district pricing; trouble shooting, new product introductions, etc. Communicate effectively with management, suppliers, and customers. Develop the sales team strategy for the territory. Effectively address any sales performance issues.|
|Requirements: 5+ years of chemical industry sales experience, with a background in selling water treatment chemicals or similar chemistries. A strong track record of success. High energy with the capacity to handle a large volume of activity. A college degree is required, but the concentration is open. Must be very professional, self-motivated, and have the ability to manage many activities, products, accounts, pricing, etc.|
|Desired: Strong leadership skills, and a proven track record developing a sales territory. An MBA is a plus.|
