National Account Manager
Summary/Objective:
The National Account Manager will identify and secure commitments and partnerships with select strategic accounts to deliver transformation growth in both revenue and relationship streams. Responsible for establishing strategic business relations, and providing ideas for all strategic sales plans and their implementation. There is opportunity for significant sales growth potential with a customer base of large defense contractors and government, with complex buying criteria and processes. National Accounts Manager will drive growth of incremental and new business at existing customers in addition to growth at non-buying customer prospects.
Essential Functions:
* Develop and execute sales strategy and objectives to secure strategic long term partnerships
* Direct and present capabilities to select strategic customers to gain partnership and commitment for significant bookings and revenue growth
* Direct strategy, develop new accounts and sales channels that meet the needs of the market, customer base and complex corporate requirements
Required Education and Experience:
* U.S. Citizen or permanent resident
DOD clearance a ++++
* Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university (electrical, chemical, industrial engineering or related discipline); MBA preferred
* 5-10 years proven technical sales experience in defense/government funded applications/markets
* Proven track record of profitable sales growth, successful account management including new business development opportunities across a wide range of customers and end use applications
* Effectively present information and respond promptly (peers, managers, clients, customer needs)
Must have the “HUNTER” mentality; action-oriented with demonstrated success in achieving established goals such as new business development for both new and existing accounts
* Comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a complex customer base and demonstrate the ability to adapt to changes in fast pace environment
* High level of technical acumen, organizational and analytical skills; ability to understand and effectively communication matters of battery technology, applications, and performance criteria
* Familiarity and understanding of FCPA and other compliance related requirements
