Director of Tax Lehigh Valley
My client a publicly held corporation with locations worldwide has an opportunity as the Director of Tax.

• Responsible for the review of the U.S. Federal Consolidated Tax Return, 5471s and related state tax returns.
• Oversee the foreign tax compliance function of the foreign affiliates. This includes coordination with D&T and other various tax firms in the foreign filings, tax planning, local tax audits, and reconciliation of the foreign tax schedules for the provision.
• Responsible for the domestic and foreign tax provision and tax footnote for the quarterly and annual U.S. consolidated financial SEC reporting requirements.
• Responsible for determining Subpart F income under sec. 951, E&P pools, tax pools, and previously taxed income under sec. 959
• Work with the VP of Tax on the preparation and/or review and roll-forward of the domestic FIN 48 (“Accounting for Uncertainty in Income Taxes”) calculation.
• Responsible for the foreign tax credit calculation.
• Responsible for the depletion calculation, and related planning.
• Responsible for overseeing IRS and state audits.
• Responsible for the R&D credit and all other domestic and worldwide credit opportunities.
• Initiate tax planning for acquisitions, restructurings and strategic projects and follow through with the computational analysis in order to make the transactions tax efficient.
• Responsible for providing tax guidance to the business units on day to day business issues.
• Responsible for the analysis and implementation of worldwide transfer pricing requirements, documentation, adjustments and audit defense of transfer pricing related issues.
• Analysis and review of the Section 199 manufacturing deduction
Qualifications
BS degree in accounting or finance (prefer masters)
10 plus years experience in tax
knowledge and experience in manufacturing deduction is mandatory
International experience is a plus
CPA preferred
