Latin American Region Costing Manager

Join a Multi National Corporation for an outstanding opportunity to over see their Latin American Costing Management leading a team of 6 professionals that has region sales of approximately 200 million. THE successful candidate must be bilingual in Spanish and English . The position is high profile and will have travel responsibilities (approximately 25% of the time) to the USA corporate headquarters as well as to other operations in Latin America  The position reports to EIMEA Costing Manager and has responsibility for the following main duties:

Costing Monthly Close.  Responsible for accuracy, timeliness, efficiency, and reliability of operations of Cost Accounting for multiple countries, legal entities, and currencies

            Standard, Current, Actual, and/or Projected Product Unit Costs used to value     GAAP             inventories and used in evaluating product margins

• Process and database development, review, verification and optimization of process steps required in ERP system or for manual processes.

• Supervision, training, and development of a high performance team

              Costing Support to Business Partner and FP&A Teams

• SOX

Qualifications

• 4 Year College Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Fluent in Spanish and English – both verbal and written
• 7-10 years experience in Accounting
• 2 years supervision, work direction, or leadership experience
• Strong accounting skills (knowledge of complex accounts and detailed debits and credits)
• Exposure to Cost Accounting
• Very strong IT skills in Database Development and Design, Microsoft Access and Excel and/or other database query tools, and ad-hoc report development software skills
• Ability to work in a team environment on a cross functional basis. 
• Strong management, leadership, training and development skills.  Able to develop others and build a strong cohesive team
• Avid learner of new knowledge, technologies and techniques to improve processes
• Strong adherence to ethical code of conduct

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years experience in Cost Accounting
• 3+ years supervision experience
• 3+ years of strong database and query development in Microsoft Access and Excel
• Strong GAAP knowledge and experience
• CPA or CMA or plans / progress toward obtaining certification
